Guy Lodge
Senior Associate | Kivu International

Guy Lodge is the co-founder and Director of Kivu International which specialises in supporting locally-led policy change. Guy has worked in public policy for over 20 years and has a demonstrable track record of advising partners on how to achieve policy change in a wide range of country contexts.

Since founding Kivu International he has worked extensively in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, supporting local partners to strengthen their approach to policy analysis and advising on effective strategies for influencing policy. A particular feature is helping advocates to understand their political economy context, ensuring  that strategies are politically feasable.

He has substantial experience of supporting and advising Presidential teams and centres of government on policy change and strategy. Prior to a career in international development he was a senior policy adviser at the Institute for Public Policy Research in the UK and Gwilym Gibbon Fellow at Nuffield College, Oxford.

Kivu international, through Guy and his co-founder Will Paxton, have had a close working relationship for some years with Simon Foot, the KDP Managing Director, influencing each others thinking across a number of collaboratively implemented programmes.
