Adam Foot
Programme Manager|Co Founder

Adam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Development from the University of Sussex and a Master of Arts in Development Studies from the renowned Institute of Development Studies (IDS).

His grounding in development-related work emerged from helping to establish the Katonte Healthcare Programme (his mother’s NGO) in Zambia in 2015. This experience highlighted the challenges of fostering sustainable development and inspired him to think creatively about impactful solutions. He carried out extensive research the following year into how private-sector business opportunities could be used to achieve development. This research was presented in a business plan outlining the creation of an environmentally friendly and innovative aquaculture social enterprise in Katonte village that attracted significant interest at the time, including a commitment from Zambia’s largest fish marketing company to purchase its potential output.

Having now completed his studies, Adam aspires to bring this venture and others like it to life in the future, providing an avenue through which KDP can demonstrate innovative private sector-led growth and development. This aim to link social enterprise with service delivery improvement in conducive political environments provides a part of the impetus for the founding of KDP.

Adam has been involved in several impactful projects with KDP such as in Rwanda conducting a review for Norwegian Peoples Aid which involved understanding the politics of community development, and governance scorecards. He reviewed the program's results framework in this context. He also designed and produced KDP's website.
