Dan Oosthuizen
Associate | Port Meadow Consulting
Dan's early childhood was spent in Ethiopia - the beginning of a growing association with the Horn of Africa. Earlier this year, just before the outbreak of the current war, he visited Sudan to interview young activists who had been involved in an applied political economy analysis course. From this he developed a podcast which now forms part of the Political Economy in Action course run by The Policy Practice and ODI.
Dan read politics and anthropology at Cambridge, and spent a year at the University of Leipzig studying Arabic, Japanese and Russian. He is interested in ideas, the way these are communicated in different languages, and how this affects the application of ideas in real life. He has a particular interest in climate related wicked problems.
